PopPop was going down the deck stairs this morning and this enormous blue heron flew up into the trees. What he was doing in the backyard is anyone's guess. After a bit he flew off, probably closer to the pond.We're having Indian summer this week. The temperature has been in the 60's and 70's and should stay there until Saturday, when we may get our first real frost. I love autumn, it's my favorite season by far. It doesn't look like we'll get good color in the trees this year, but we can hope.
Looking back at Logan's science project last May??? hmmm can't remember.... but That Bird Looks Familiar!!! Haha.. Did it have dark legs or gold legs? Just kidding.... Honestly... I would have thought he would have flown south by now, he/she is enjoying the Indian Summer and good fishing at your pond/lake. Reminds me of your Audubon print in the livingroom. You have a snowy egret also, right? Graceful and poetic. Thanks for sharing! I just love those prints... VERY SPECIAL!! The Audubon House here in Key West is a lovely spot. They give painting classes during the day in the gardens... hmmmmm There we go again!
