So much going on here, I don't know where to begin. We are enjoying having the girls here so much, C,H, & L are all joined like triplets! They are still catching up. We had such a wonderful time at the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables. It has been rainy since arriving back here on island. Today is beautiful and we'll be going to Bahia Honda for a swim and snorkel.
Mr. B received a great invitation to be private chef at a privately owned compound just east of Ketchican, Alaska, miles and miles away from civilization on many rivers, inlets and of course mountains. He has accepted and will be flying out on the 1st and return back on the 18th of August. We are so excited for him to enjoy what he loves to do and be in a beautiful area to do it. He is thrilled to get new Salmon and seafood connections also. He has to arrive by seaplane and they will fly up all the provisions a day or two before he arrives. He is busy making up the restaurant schedule for when he will be gone to have himself covered, hopefully with no problems. He's hired a great staff of chefs and feels confident in leaving them for that time. He has been working so hard and this will give him a retreat like feeling as we know the people he is cooking for and he have enjoyment like cooking at Nan's house or anywhere else. He'll have a staff of servers and cleanup so he will be surely Mr. King up there. We'll all look forward to his stories and pictures.
More later, gators!!!

I added a link to a map of where Ketchican is (and you can see a satellite image too), hope you don't mind. It sounds like a very cool opportunity, good for him! Make sure he takes some photos!
ReplyDeleteHe will be at a thousand acre privately owned place on the water with an awsome Fjord jetting up behind the resort. In the area of Misty Fjords east of Ketchican.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link.
Wow!....midnight sun, northern lights...I am envious. Have a wonderful adventure Bill...wish I was going with you. Now, that's my kind of climate! Enjoy.
