INDIAN GIVERS! ! ! ! !
At 9:20 this evening Manny and the Boston Red Sox were shown the Tribes hospitality! Even after several replays, a huddle by the squaws (umpires), a white mark on the TOP OF THE WALL beyond the yellow line, and guess what???? INDIAN GIVERS!!!!!

Please. How much do we pay that lazy bastard a year? The *least* he could do is HUSTLE once in a while. Instead, he stands at the plate and waits to see whether the ball is going out, or if it will be caught. He should have been to second base EASILY. Ortiz on a bum knee runs as hard as he can, every time. WTF is Manny's excuse for not even bothering to TRY?
ReplyDeleteI'm completely fed up with Manny being Manny. Much like nobody will ever call A-Rod "Mr. October" without being sarcastic, nobody will ever call Manny "Mr. Hustle". He's an egotistical ass. I can't wait for his contract to be up.

ReplyDeletecomplain all you want on him not hustling in the outfield in a park other than Fenway where he is Master... but you have to hush your mouth on his hitting. Everyone is proud of something... and everyone has their few minutes of fame... THIS IS HIS... so be it... let it be... enjoy it to the limit Manny.. Because I surely do!!!! He is my favorite player to bitch about.. he keeps my blood pumping and my fingers crossed every dang time.. and darn if he doesn't come threw for me... Lowell is my honey... Papi is the Man... and OH YEAH>>>

You know what, this crap is really pissing me off now. Did I make this a personal thing about how stupid your opinion is? Did I tell you to shut up because you are wrong? Stop taking my criticism of Manny so goddamn personally and READ WHAT I WROTE. And you do not get to tell me to shut up, I have just as much right to my opinion as you do to yours.
ReplyDeleteAnd up until this year, I would have agreed that he doesn't hustle enough in the outfield. But he's actually become a fine outfielder this season. I guess he wants some other club to pick up his contract in a couple years and decided to show he isn't just a showboating homerun hitter. He is one of the quickest outfielders in the game at getting the ball out of his glove and to the shortstop or second baseman. And he's an accurate thrower. Now two years ago, who would have known? People forget and they think because he's been good this year, he's been like that all along. But I'm perfectly happy with him as an outfielder. I also think he plays the ball off the green monster better than most, he reads the angles really well.
So, if you can calm down and try reading what I actually wrote, instead of you think I wrote, then get back to me. But knock off the crap about telling me to hush my mouth. That's horseshit, and I'm sick of it.
When you say we over pay the "lazy bastard" you can have your opinion fine. But I restate mine. He is not overpaid, he is the best hitter and paid well for it. He is the hardest worker in baseball, all the other players admire his hard work and dedication to the sport. He gets to stand and smile because they all know he works damn hard to achieve that right.
ReplyDeleteYou will miss Manny when he's gone. The Red Sox will miss Manny when he's gone. The game will not be as fun to watch. Manny is Papi's pal... the dynamic duo.. but it's more like the dynamic trio! with my man Lowell!!!!!
