It's a single because "Mr. I'm-too-good-to-bother-running" stood at home plate admiring his hit, when his ass should have been running toward second. It was an EASY double at worst, except for dipshit Ramirez. Don't blame the umpires for Manny's egotistical laziness.

Yeah we all know he admires his work... and yes,,, just before this hit, i WAS wishing he was taken out and Elsbury put in.. but the fact remains... and he knew it and I knew it... it was a home run... he deserved to walk his ass around the bases... it would have been caught... or a homer!!! when he got to first and looks into the outfield and see's that it bounced back in play and umpires weren't calling it a homer... he immediatly called TIME-OUT!!! tHOSE Squaws were idiots all night long... just the next inning they took a micro second to call Lowell's thirdbase hit a foul ball... Get a grip on this sistah!!! Don't blame the player!!! He is what he is... I'm also sick of hearing how players don't run to first base to the best of their ability... some say they run in a straight upright position... I say... WTF are you talking about??? IDIOTS..... YOU DON"T RUN HEAD FIRST TO FIRST PLATE!!! THERE IS NO RIBBON TO CROSS!!! your feet must touch the base and pushing your legs forward at the final thrust is faster,better than head forward... IDIOTS.
ReplyDeleteI say leave Manny alone... when everyone complains about him... make it about his sloppppppy dressing habits... or his lack of ability in any left field other than fenway park... but leave his hitting to BRILLIANCE. I admire it ... just as he does... and it pisses off the other teams to no end.... GO MANNY!!!!!

Bullshit. He didn't know that ball was a homerun, and nobody else did either until we saw the slow-mo replay. Manny is a self-serving egotistical jerk who needs to show more effort when it comes to *running from home*. Like I've said, this isn't the first time he's screwed up by standing around when he should have been on the move. He's been thrown out at first because he couldn't bother to run, and there isn't a goddamn thing wrong with his knees.

And I wonder if this would be such a big deal if that hit had been made by Sizemore. One thing is for sure...Sizemore, or pretty much ANY OTHER MAJOR LEAGUE BALLPLAYER, would have been making their objections on the call from SECOND base, not first. I'm criticizing someone who is grossly overpaid for the effort he makes, I'm NOT criticizing YOU. So stop taking it so personally and don't tell me to stop criticizing this jerk. I'll stop criticizing him when I see his ass run out every hit like every other ballplayer.
