    Thank you, Key Dear, and please say thanks for me to the rest of the Krew! I'm not much for celebrating my birthday, as you know, but I appreciate your good wishes.

    But as it is my birthday, I do have one request - when are you going to get that Mike Lowell deal done?

    LOL.... I'm thinking it won't be announced today darn! But, he is such a good man that with the Veteran holiday and all... he will wait until after worthy men and women are respected this weekend... Come Tuesday... it's Lowell's announcement for YOU!!
    I know your fangs are hanging for some delicious Indian food! You got me thinking about making a curry dinner tonite!!! Wish we were all together to eat some!
    So, now is the start back to the beginning... I am 50, and you have turned 49... you young thing you! You do have an interesting date of birth, numbers wise...
    11 and 11 and 56 which totals 11
    What does it add up to??
    How the heck do I know... but it sure is cool numbering!

    It gets better. On 11/11/2011, I'll be 55!

    Maybe I'll get some chicken out of the freezer and make something Indian-ish for dinner. There are only two Indian restaurants anywhere near here, in Weymouth and Quincy. I haven't tried either one yet. Some day.

    I was going to go to the MFA for an artist demonstration today, but Queenee has been doing laundry, so I delayed taking a shower and I'm too late now. I think I'll cut my hair and paint.

    Someone up there told me about that Indian Delight in Weymouth being really good... can't remember who though...
    ... I stood over the trash again the other day and did a little trim job...good luck with yours...

    Just checked my curry and it's still in great shape! I have the rice I need, and some peas etc.
    I'm gonna put a twist on dinner with using some peanut satay sauce on halibut... that's my out of the bare cubbord dinner tonite, unless i get to the grocery store.
    Sounds about as weird as it gets. the only thing that would push it completely off the edge would be using a ginger dressing on the salad!

    Good luck with the painting today!

    Thank you everyone, it was a pretty neat birthday for someone who is the Scrooge of birthdays!

    After the Krew's postings, phone calls and good wishes, the Dawg dropped in to say HB (prompted by PopPop, but no matter). PopPop got his HB in first thing in the morning, followed by Queenee a bit later. She gave me a very soft lounging set, which in my case pretty much doubles as formal wear, a couple pair of socks, which I needed, and a pair of slip-on slippers to replace my worn sheepskin slippers.

    The D's and Peas brought Chinese food for dinner, and if that wasn't enough, cards and a goodie bag! The Peas made their own cards, which is always special! They got me some great smelling shampoo (and I had just finished off a bottle that morning!), some decaf tea for an evening drink, wasabi-ginger marinade sauce (yummy!), and a pair of cozy slippers. The slippers pull on like socks and come up around my ankles. It's like wearing a bed comforter on your feet, really nice and warm and perfect for this time of year. You can never have too many pairs of slippers. Shampoo and slippers, timing is everything!

    Carrot cake and ice cream for desert, a quick peek at Comet Holmes, and my day was made.

    I guess that I didn't turn out to be much for celebrating your birthday either, except in my mind, but here's what you really wanted, isn't it? A Mike Lowell doll! with my own personal Happy Birthday wishes - for every day since you were born and ever after!

    Still, I'm ashamed of myself.

    My dear Anhaga, don't be silly, you know I don't really care about my birthday. More important is that my divorce from the manipulative, lying, cheating waste of oxygen is final TODAY! Smell the freedom...
