When Miss P was here this past summer, she showed us how she folds t-shirts in no time at all, a mere second or two. She has learned to do this because at her job, she ends up folding boatloads of t-shirts in any given day. With my crooked hands, I doubt her technique would work for me, but I came across a video demonstration with a technique that might be useful for me, and for some of you.

that's ASS... I mean..HELLO.. who folds shirts on a table? Way too much time... maybe I need to make this guy a video. He needs to either take his clothes out of the dryer faster so they aren't so wrinkled (#1) or iron them.. Slob.
ReplyDeleteDo folks really make videos to compete with Martha? Way too much time on this guys hands... He needs to stick to magic tricks! Honestly.
I suspect this isn't aimed at women, who, at least in my experience, don't fold much of anything on a table.
ReplyDeleteWhen PopPop brings Queenee's laundry up from the basement, it's all balled up in the basket. I fold it before bringing it up. I'm guessing, but I bet he folds his own clothes on his bed. I fold clothes as soon as I take them out of the dryer. Qui est la différence.
I tried this out with one of Queenee's sweaters today. It doesn't work so well with long sleeves, but it isn't a bad way to fold a t-shirt, if, like me, you are too impaired to do it Miss P's way.
Hey, she should make a video...!
LOL,,, your right on with this. It's true... if taken directly out of the dryer... your standing.. give it a snap, toss slightly in air to re grab if you will,, mid way.. then fold in half, lean against your lower body, re grab and give the two folds, right and left to get the same effect... am I confusing you? I guess I never really thought about it. But, I'll have to ask the Miss P. how she does it.. I do know it's standing up with no table, and it has to be fast... because there is a customer right behind you that doesn't look up above at the displayed shirt, and grabs your newly folded tee to have a hands on look.. BAM.. shoved back into the rack.. and the process continues all day.
ReplyDeleteMiss P is thankful that being a manager... she knows exactly what the employees under are doing ALL DAY LONG.. I can't imagine!!
I do know that having to spread the shirt out onto a table before the folding process would be a bit too thorough for me. Martha may though!
