What a fun day! Dawg, Fluffy and her brother Dave stopped here first, then we went to the D's house. This was the first Christmas at the D's new house, and it was a special Christmas indeed. DamCat outdid herself with decorating and setting up for the Christmas feast, and everything was delicious. Her dad was there, as well as her brother and family. The Peas dressed for the occasion and went out to the main road to wave to the passing traffic and spread some holiday cheer. The Elder Pea had quite an interview when one of the passing cars turned out to be a police cruiser. They stopped and asked her many Christmas questions, trying to trip her up...are they nuts? Our Christmas Pea is not to be trifled with and she answered every question with her usual panache, sending the officers on their merry way with a smile and a hearty Ho Ho Ho!
I cannot even begin to list the presents everyone received. Queenee got a digital photo frame, earrings and a very beautiful bottle of Grappa. PopPop got books, socks and golf balls, and I got some lounging pants, socks, a gorgeous scarf, a book, some fab bath stuff and a Wizard of Oz wristwatch! Then there were the virtual presents, which had us all drooling. I'll drive the Bugatti and Porsche Carrera on alternate days, when I'm not on my yacht. I'll add more stuff to this list later, when I find out what all folks got.
I hope everyone had as wonderful a Christmas day as we had here!
Oh how I wish I was with Santa and the Elf Xmas eve... what joy it brought to many, I'm sure.... Sounds like a wondrous day was had by all.
ReplyDeleteWe missed you and thought of you!
Our hearts are heavy not to have been there... Thank you wabbit and queenee for the gifts of money to these Keys Kids... They were wowed! Eyes all aglow not at yule tide what have you's... but at their cards with hopes to get what they dream for.... Thank you for the kindness... we'll all be together hopefully after this "hell week of work in a tourista town" and give a call to let you know what dreams you fulfilled!!
Holiday Love from us with thanks.
I have to tell you, PopPop missed his virtual pressies on Xmas and just looked at them today. I could hear him laughing all through the house. He was so pleased, especially at the platinum encrusted golf clubs - may as well look good while you lose! Not to mention the boat, which you knew would be a big hit with him!
ReplyDeleteCash is easy, though I wish it could be more. I hope everyone is able to get something they really want (as opposed to the usual crap I would have sent).
We missed you all and thought about what you might be doing in the warmth of Florida. We still have some snow on the ground, even though it has been in the mid 40's for several days. Got any photos to share??!!??
