Big fat drug-addled hypocrite

I made meatloaf for dinner tonight and while I was doing the preliminaries around noon, I was forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh. I can't believe people take him seriously, but the dittoheads are true believers, they think he is amazingly insightful and truthful. Well, ok, he speaks his version of the truth. Today, though, I had to laugh. He's got his panties in a twist over "Scooter" Libby's conviction. Excuse me? He is caught lying *under oath*, convicted for it, and you have a problem with this? Is it me, or are conservatives so narrow and brainwashed that they can't see the blatant problem with this line of 'reasoning'. They impeached Clinton for lying under oath about a blowjob, but lying about something that, let's face it, had a liberal done this would be called *treason*, well, that's just not something you convict a good conservative for doing. Unbelievable.

On a lighter note, it's been a couple weeks since I posted my Ten Most Quotable Geek Flicks To See Before You Die list, and we did say we were going to do a similar list for chick flicks, so what say we shoot for the 16th again? I can have a list by then, and the Wasabi Peas have got their list well under way.

  1. I guess Meatloaf sez it all.
    Looking forward to the list!

  2. LOL, meatloaf, that hadn't occurred to me!

re: Chick Flick list...I was thinking we shouldn't limit our lists to just quotable movies, though there are plenty of those, but list the movies we really like. If I made two lists, and I might do that just for fun, there would be some crossover anyway. What do y'all think?

  3. OK....this is a REALLY old movie with Lana Turner. Imitation of Life. I think I first saw it when I was 10 or 11. I loved it. A real tear-jerker.

Also, Beaches. What chick-movie list would be complete without Beaches.

  4. I agree Beaches must be in. Imitation of Life sounds familiar,, I got to research and get back on it... that is an old one... but that's why we need this list... so we'll all get to see ones we may not have. Is it available on DVD I wonder? I know I'm due for a good OLD MOVIE night! AND I know your list will have It's a Wonderful Life as #1. Yes, Yes, YES!
