As I am the only one with any real interest in this blog, and that has become a joke within the family, it's time to shut it down. I'll leave it up until the end of the week so any comments or nasty remarks can be made for posterity.

Huh??? Your not serious are you? Your kidding right? I love the blog! I love your imput and mine!! Wahhhhhhhhhhh don't end it, it is not a joke, it is awesome, and you've put so much effort and time into it and helped me learn to blog better as time goes on.. Please keep it up and going.
ReplyDeleteI didn't explain well. The blog isn't the joke, I am. I wrote a rather lengthy explanation, but deleted it, because what's the point.

How have you been a burden? Nobody has even made that suggestion. You are welcome everywhere with open arms, as is only fair. You, of all people, don't owe anyone any apologies.

ReplyDeleteThe pro? If you mean your profile, it is funny. I actually look at the profiles from time to time. The Cave of the Gypsy Woman was an especially nice touch.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of what anyone thinks, it's boring for me to be talking to myself all the time. What I had hoped would be a family blog has become an echo chamber. I've had enough.

ReplyDeleteBTW.... wabbit, this is the most interesting blog I read!!! so with that said... I'm lost with out it! I also go to the MOTE and the CAT photo blog etc. (love the comments and photo buttons) and check into the animal site for promo monies for it etc. I follow my Key West Blog from that Parrothead guy etc. etc. and honestly I'm so stoked at the love of this blog... It's a daily read that's better than the daily rag KW Citizen!!
I check here before my own local news... I'm up on the latest info, be it science, sports, family, life... it's all here and I know the work you put into it.... and take the time to share it....

I was one of the early participants at the Mote, so let me explain how this kind of thing works. The people responsible for keeping the Mote up and running decide to shut down a particular discussion thread for lack of participation. Now, if there haven't been any posts for a while, you'd think it would be no big deal. But all of a sudden, people flood in to claim they'll post, they'll revitalize the thread. And two weeks later, it's dead as a doornail again.
ReplyDeleteThis blog has been up since last April. If I stopped posting, it would have died about two months later. Key Dear being the only exception, nobody else is interested enough to spend ten minutes a week to make a post, which is about what it takes. Ask Key Dear. So obviously this isn't everyone's idea of a fun family project.
If any of you really wants a blog, come up with a name and start one. They are easy enough - if I can do it, anyone can. I'll help you set it up if asked. I'd be happy to participate, if invited (LOL, as if).
I've copied the blog links to CudjoeKrew.com. I can add or delete anything, just let me know.
