Golf League

Last night was the final night of our golf league. 18 holes every Tuesday. I finished up with a 47. I went out in grand style with 2, yes TWO hole-in-ones! Lots of jumping up and down, high fives, celebration beers during the course.

I signed my score card and handed it in at the golf shack. They recorded my score and promptly threw it out. O-well, after all it's only mini-golf!

We'll all miss our Tuesday's together with friends, but will carry on with Thursday night out Salsa dancing to Latin music. That should be interesting, and a bit more exercise! Note that none of us know how to really do the Salsa. I'm sure after a couple weeks of tuckus shaking, we'll figure it out.

  1. Queenee's bowling league is also done for the season as of last night. They had their banquet catered and held it at the bowling alley this year. You know what banquet night means - leftovers for dinner tonight!

  2. Not me. I'm going to continue bowling —— bowls of fritos, bowls of popcorn, the occasional bowl of shrimp, and maybe a little bowl of cocktail sauce. Goood.

  3. I'm not a bowler. I go straight for the bag.

Except for popcorn, which must, of course, be served in a bowl. I'm talking real popcorn, not Jiffy-Pop or that microwavable junk. Did y'all hear that the smell of microwave popcorn that makes me sick in the grocery store has been shown to be toxic? Opened, popped or not, I don't care what the studies say, that smell is nasty. The nose knows!

And cereal, which needs a bowl to hold the milk. Unless you are munching on Cracklin' Oat Bran, which is yummy out of the box.

  4. $1.33 billion worth of microwave popcorn in 2000, not worthy of high priority?
Give up your microwave popcorn and take some mini eclairs out of the freezer.
I'm not for too many sweets, Kettle corn makes me ill just thinking about it, but a mini eclair? ........ Those little treats are worth every calorie!
